Welcome to
Shotokan
Karate Club
Founded
in 1993, the Intel Karate Do Club seeks to provide all local Intel
employees with the opportunity to train in the art of traditional
Shotokan karate under the vigorous, high quality training methods of the
JKA (Japan Karate Association). The instructors are Gyuszi Suto, a 2nd
degree black belt, Guido Fisher, a 3rd degree black belt, Virgina Ginny
Ross, a 2nd degree black belt and Ritch Rice, a 2nd degree black belt,
all of whom have trained for over 10 years. Our club is registered
with both the AAKF (American Amateur Karate Federation) and JKA (Japan
Karate Association US International), which enables us to
participate in excellent regional training events such as seminars, belt
testing, and competitions. The club has a
very friendly atmosphere with very highly trained instructors, who are
not only willing to take the time to teach but also share there valuable
experiences over the years. With more than 13 years of its existence,
the dojo has lot of members (mainly Intel employees) who get together
2-3 times a week to train together (see the Practice Times link on the
left).
Karate is one of the most effective workouts that can burn up to 600
calories in an hour.
